The Costain Graduate Development Scheme is an intensive 2-year programme designed to equip high flying graduates with the skills and experience required to take them forward in their career with the company. We offer mentoring and support in every area of work, as well as a structured training programme. Graduates will work on a bids around the UK during the 2-year programme, in sectors including nuclear, highways, rail and water.

What will I be doing?

In this role, you will be part of an industry-leading team contributing to and ultimately overseeing the written element of proposals for some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Converting existing client intelligence into compelling win themes with the wider team
  • Developing writing strategies for proposals
  • Leading a team of authors and subject matter experts for specific proposals, providing coaching as necessary
  • Storyboarding and writing of technical and managerial proposal responses to a high standard
  • Reviewing of proposals

About you

  • Degree, preferably in one of the following: English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, History, Law, Politics or Geography.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work on various projects across the UK.

Final Statement

Assessment centres will take place in November/December 2017 at our Head Office in Maidenhead, SL6 4UB.
