The Costain Finance Graduate Development Scheme takes 3 years, consisting of an intensive 2-year programme designed and led by the Learning & Development team, to equip high flying graduates with the skills and experience required to take them forward in their career with the company. Graduates are supported for a further year by the Finance team. During the 3 year programme we endeavour to ensure graduates have a number of rotations throughout different sectors of the business – As a minimum we expect graduates to rotate after 12 months to another sector of the business. We offer mentoring and support throughout the programme and beyond, as well as a structured training programme during the initial 2-year phase to enable graduates to work towards achieving a professional accounting qualification.  Graduates will be able to work on a range of projects and support functions around the UK business throughout the 3 years including the head office in Maidenhead.

What will I be doing?

As a Finance graduate you will develop your technical, leadership and management skills through working in a number of different areas:

  • Project accounting at sites and for contracts
  • Management accounting and reporting within divisions
  • Internal audit
  • Tax
  • Corporate reporting and accounting

About you

  • Minimum 2:1 achieved or expected in a numerate degree
  • Work experience relevant to finance or accounting desirable
  • Mobility to work on projects throughout the UK
  • Aspiration to become professionally qualified

Final Statement

Assessment centres will take place in November/December 2017 at our Head Office in Maidenhead, SL6 4UB.
